Clare Salkin, RN, CMC

“During college and graduate school in my home state of NC (BAs in Biology and Psychology, and a MA degree in Biology), I worked a variety of jobs in research laboratories, always hoping to make a contribution to the scientific knowledge of healing. Eventually, I realized my skills could make more of a direct impact to patients themselves, and went back to nursing school (in Illinois) while working as a nursing assistant in assisted living and in home health for the elderly. After receiving my RN, I worked many years primarily in women’s health and patient education, both in SC and here in the Atlanta area.

Some say we always return to our beginnings, and I have come back to elder care nursing as an RN in home health and as a geriatric care manager with SeniorCare Options. It is a joyful responsibility to help clients and their families assess what they need and assist them to remain as independent as possible. Creative problem solving is sometimes a challenge, but helping those in need to reach their goals and live life to the fullest is truly a gift.”

Clare Salkin has been a asset to SeniorCare Options since 2009. Her skills as an RN allow SCO to offer an interdisciplinary focus to the Care Management for our clients.
